Physiotherapists commonly treat back and neck pain, joint and muscle injuries, sports injuries, post surgical rehabilitation, arthritis, work related injuries, and chronic pain. Many clinics also help with balance issues, headaches, and post unrelated problems.

Your first appointment includes a detailed conversation about your problem, medical history, and goals, followed by a physical assessment. The physiotherapist will then explain the diagnosis and start a tailored treatment plan. Depending on the complexity treatment will only be provided in the 60minute session.

We recommend the 60min initial assessments to allow time for a thorough history and examination AND treatment. Followup sessions are typically shorter at 30min and focus on progressing your treatment and exercises.

The number of sessions depends on your condition, how long you have had it, and your goals. Your physiotherapist will discuss an estimated treatment plan and review it regularly as you progress.

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. For example, shorts for hip, knee, or ankle problems and a singlet for shoulder or neck issues. We do not provide such clothing.

Bring any relevant scans or reports, referral letters, and a list of medications. If you have health insurance or claim forms, bring those as well but we recommend forwarding everything over prior.

Yes we accept most private health insurance, providing you have physiotherapy extras cover. Your rebate amount depends on your individual policy. For some providers you will need to pay the full fee and claim the rebate directly from them.

Some hands on techniques and exercises may cause mild discomfort, especially early on, but treatment should not cause sharp or worsening pain. Your physiotherapist will work within your comfort levels and adjust if anything is too sore.

Some people feel improvement after a few sessions, while longer standing or complex problems can take more time. Following your exercise program and advice between sessions usually speeds up recovery.

Yes. Home exercises are an important part of your treatment and are tailored to your goals and lifestyle. Doing them regularly helps you get better results and maintain improvements.

Session fees vary depending on the type and length of appointment. The clinic can provide a current fee schedule and advise about any rebates you may be eligible for.

We operate a 24hr cancellation policy. Late cancellations or missed appointments will have to cover the full fee. Changing the appointment to a different time on the same day is allowed.

Home visits are currently not offered. Telehealth can easily be provided, please email us if you would like this.

Physiotherapy is safe and often very helpful during pregnancy and for older adults. The physiotherapist will modify techniques and exercises to suit each person’s stage of life and health status.

Yes we can see children under 16years old, but they will need to be accompanied by an adult every session.
